"Mono", is a tricky virus to diagnosis due to the fact that symptoms do not surface for up to 4 - 7 weeks after infection! The virus can affect a variety of  areas in the body including: The head, eyes, throat, tonsils, lymph nodes, respiratory system, spleen, and stomach; as seen on the right.

Symptoms range from general malaise, loss in appetite, and the chills all the way to fever and swollen lymph nodes.

Signs that you may be coming down with the illness are to detect since all of these symptoms start off extremely mild. More often than not, if you do not go to see a physician it may be mistaken for the flu, soar throat, or another illness. This why it is  EXTREMELY important to go see your doctor, remember they're the ones that endured medical school; not you.
